1 Girl 10 Obsessions

I really am just a girl with obsessions that make me who I am, so let’s talk about it.

📚 Reading

Let’s get the most obvious one out of the way. Even if you don’t know me that well, you probably do know that I LOVE books. Reading, escaping into another reality, romanticizing life through someone else’s words...

I tend to gravitate toward contemporary fiction, but I’m also a sucker for historical fiction, romance, and (dare I say it)... I think I’m getting into thrillers now. Reading is my way to relax after a long day, to find peace, and honestly, to do something other than doom-scrolling.

Also, decorating my bookshelf? A whole separate joy. I love adding little knickknacks that match the vibes of whatever I’m reading. Reading is just so fun.

🎭 Musicals

Like many others, Hamilton has my whole heart. I’ve seen it live twice and I know I’ll be going again in this lifetime. But really, I just love musicals in general. They’re fun, dramatic, and usually carry hidden messages about life and the world, and I love digging into those.

So far I’ve seen Wicked, Hamilton, and Six, but my list is only getting started.

🧺 Cozy Living

“Cozy living” can mean a lot of things, but for me, it’s about an organized, warm, and welcoming space. My girlfriend and I have put a lot of love into decorating our little apartment, and I’m honestly proud of it.

It also means slowing down, choosing to stay in, enjoy the moment, and spend quality time with the people who truly care. Sometimes a good yap session at home is better than any night out. That’s the vibe I’m obsessed with.

✈️ Traveling

I didn’t do much traveling as a kid, but I’ve grown to love it. Seeing new places, experiencing different cultures, and realizing there’s a whole world outside your bubble? It’s beautiful.

Even my move from Cape Cod to Corning had me like, “Wait—the world isn’t all flat??” Since then, I’ve been to Seattle, visited my first national park, and explored a few new cities. I can’t wait to visit more states, and hopefully live in a new one soon!

🎤 Concerts

There are so many artists I want to see live, but the best concert I’ve ever been to? Billie Eilish. That girl’s mic is ON and she had me feeling everything.

Concerts just bring out this fun, free energy in people. I’ve been everywhere from the balcony to the pit, and every single time it’s surreal to see someone you love live on stage, giving it their all. And being surrounded by people who love them just as much? It’s a feeling like no other.

🧸 Jellycats

Now this one… yeah, I have more than I probably need. But I can’t resist. Most of them actually hold significance, either from a specific trip, a special moment, or just because I love them!

For example, my first Jellycat was a dinosaur (his name is Stewart, btw) because I’ve always loved dinosaurs. No deeper meaning necessary.

🌊 The Ocean

As a former Cape Cod local, this probably isn’t surprising, but I’m obsessed with a good beach day. Soaking up the sun, jumping into the waves, and coming home for a post-beach shower? Literally the best feeling.

Even in the fall or winter, I used to drive to the beach just to sit and stare at the water. It always reminds me how small we are on this floating rock...

👗 Outfits

I touched on this in my last post, but I love putting together a cute outfit, even if it’s something simple. I don’t wear anything super extravagant most days, but I make it feel like me. When I feel put-together, I feel more productive, more confident, and less doubtful.

Some days, a good outfit is all I need.

💛 Yellow

Yellow has been my favorite color for while, before it was trendy. It’s just such a happy color. It can brighten up a space or add warmth depending how you use it.

And hey, I look good in it too, so a win is a win.

📺 Cheesy Dramas

One thing about me—I will be watching the Netflix originals. Give me all the cheesy, feel-good shows: The Summer I Turned Pretty, Gilmore Girls, Virgin River, The Vampire Diaries... you get the vibe. A little cringe is okay right?!

I’m also into reality shows with Dancing With the Stars being my current obsession.
