First Tattoo Experience!

Since I never officially shared my experience getting my first tattoo I thought it would be fun to talk about, as well as discuss future plans I have for more! Although I have been thinking and talking about getting a tattoo, the first two I got were rather spontaneous. I have had a tattoo inspiration photo saved in my photos for three years now and I was certain that would be my first…WRONG. I ended up getting two flash sale tattoos from a new artist (apprentice in my local area) that really fit me I think.

The two I chose are a tulip, my favorite flower (IYKYK) and a book obviously because I like to read AND because I hope to be an author one day. It was sort of a manifestation tactic if you will.

Going in I was VERY nervous but let me tell you, easiest experience ever. The artist I went to made the whole process so welcoming, he explained everything before doing it and once I let the nerves slide we were cracking jokes and having fun. Pain level was a 1 or 2. To be fair I got them in easier spots and they are rather small, but I really had no reason to have let the fear of pain hold me back for three years…

Anyways, I have them now and here they are!

As for future plans, I hope to have a “scrap book” or “patchwork” sleeve with very delicate, fine line tattoos scattered on this one arm for now. The one that I have had saved I think will be the next one I get sometime soon…

If you are thinking of getting a tattoo, go get it. Don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you from new experiences :)
